New Projects Underway
Rogers Communications
The Ontario government announced in August 2022 that it is bringing high-speed internet access to underserved and unserved homes and businesses in Prince Edward County. The announcement is part of the Ontario government’s effort to deliver high speed internet access across the province by 2025. Following a two-stage competitive process led by the Ontario government, Rogers Communications signed an agreement with the province to bring high-speed wired internet access to homes and businesses in Prince Edward County.

Rogers has not announced a specific date when customers will be able to connect to the high-speed internet service. Rogers has informed the municipality that the service in Prince Edward County will not go live until connections are made through neighbouring municipalities in Quinte West, Belleville and Greater Napanee) because this is a requirement for their distribution system.
If you have questions about the Rogers service expansion and connecting to the service, email ServiceExpansion@rci.rogers.com.
Considerable construction is currently taking place along roadways across the municipality as Rogers implements this project. The map below is continuously updated to show active projects and the company that is undertaking the work.
Cogeco
In May 2021, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) announced that Cogeco was awarded funding for two broadband expansion projects in Prince Edward County. The projects would connect more than 562 residential homes in the communities of Rednersville, Albury, and West Lake.
