The Prince Edward County Affordable Housing Corporation was established by the municipality to build and manage affordable rental housing. It is now a Municipal Services Corporation with a Board of Directors including two County Councillors providing oversight. The Corporation also supports developers interested in adding affordable housing to Prince Edward County and is an active participant in ensuring an adequate continuum of housing.
The Corporation is currently developing two properties for affordable housing, including one-bedroom through three-bedroom townhomes, with low end of market rents so that tenants pay no more than 30% of their household income on total occupancy costs.
Current housing developments and more information can be found on the Prince Edward County Affordable Housing Corporation website.
