Loyalist Parkway bridge reopens for two-way traffic

February 9, 2024

A bridge on the Loyalist Parkway (County Road 33) has reopened to two-way traffic.

  • The bridge, which was constructed in 1948, is located approximately 4.1 km west of Highway 62.
  • Rehabilitation of the bridge began in August 2023.
  • The bridge had deteriorated significantly and the guardrail system did not comply with current provincial standards. The rehabilitation project included removal and replacement of the concrete deck, waterproofing, asphalt overlay, guardrail replacement, and other repairs.
  • County Council awarded the tender on July 25 to Nuroad Construction Limited. Read the staff report for more details.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
