Traffic disruptions on McDonald Drive (Picton) December 19 and 20

December 18, 2024

December 18, 2024

County of Prince Edward staff will be installing a new water and sanitary service connection at 3 McDonald Drive in Picton on Thursday, December 19 and Friday, December 20.

  • Work will take place between approximately 7 am and 7 pm.
  • McDonald Drive will be closed from north of the Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue station (8 McDonald Drive) to McFarland Drive.
  • Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes. Local traffic will be permitted.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
  • Work is not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.

Please note: The County of Prince Edward provides this information as a service to the general public. While we do our best to provide accurate information, construction projects and associated service disruptions are subject to change based on weather, road, traffic, and other uncontrollable conditions.
