The County of Prince Edward is excited to announce the launch of the Community Events Calendar on the municipal website. The calendar is intended to help you discover events and activities that interest you while building new community connections.
The current municipal calendar provides a list of meetings and events for Council and Committees as well as other municipal events. This additional calendar is designed to specifically feature events planned by Prince Edward County community groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals whose event offers a clear community or cultural benefit. Think community dinners, music in the park, local club meetings, sports clubs, music, activity registrations and more.
The calendar is being launched during Mental Health Week, which takes place across Canada from Monday, May 4 to Sunday, May 10. This year’s theme, “Come Together, Canada: Stronger Connections, Better Mental Health”, highlights the powerful role that connection plays in strengthening our mental health. Fostering in-person connections, a main goal of the calendar, is vital to reduce loneliness and build stronger social ties in the community.
To view the calendar, visit https://events.thecounty.ca/. Events can be filtered or searched for using the search bar. Filters are in place for recreation committees, history and heritage, museum tours, municipal events and more. You can also filter events through dates, audiences, and event type.
If you are a community group, club, or organization hosting events for the benefit of the community in Prince Edward County, we invite you to submit your event for inclusion in our calendar. Listings are provided free of charge. To learn more about eligibility requirements and submit your event, click here.
