Barker Street and Bowery Street Reconstruction – Public Information Centre

The municipality is hosting a public information centre (PIC) for the Barker Street and Bowery Street reconstruction in Picton.
At the PIC you can:
- Review the detailed designs.
- Learn about potential impacts and how they will be mitigated.
- Provide your input for the municipality to consider as the project moves ahead.
Project Background
The project involves the complete reconstruction of Barker Street, as well as Bowery Street from Barker Street to King Street. The entirety of the existing road surface, including curbs and sidewalks, will be removed and replaced with new curbs, sidewalks and asphalt. Curb along the entirety of the project will be installed with additional storm sewers to capture storm water. Sidewalk will also be installed on at least one side the entirety of the project.
Both existing wastewater and water within the project limits will be removed and replaced with new mains along with servicing laterals to the edge of the road allowance.
