Purchasing

The mandate of the Purchasing Department is to ensure that:

  • Every purchase represents a fair and reasonable costs to the taxpayer for the required goods or services.
  • All qualified and interested potential suppliers are extended the opportunity to compete for the County’s business.
  • All purchasing transactions are processed in a timely and cost-effective manner that best fulfills the requirement of the County while achieving the best value through an open, transparent, and fair competitive process.

Purchases of goods and services and the disposal of property are made in accordance with the County’s Purchasing By-law 222-2021.
