The County strives to provide residents with the best possible service. We are looking for feedback from County residents on our landfill operations. Please take a few moments to complete the online Landfill Site Feedback Form and share your input with us.

There are seven landfill and transfer station sites in Prince Edward County. For locations, view the chart below or our landfill map. 

County landfills are not licensed to receive:

• Materials containing asbestos or waste containing PCBs.
• Household hazardous waste materials
• Vape pen cartridges (hazardous waste)

Electronic waste will be accepted at the South Marysburgh (1132 Old Milford Road) and Sophiasburgh (35 County Road 14) waste sites during regular hours of operation starting Saturday, May 17, 2025. Hazardous waste will not be accepted. For a list of accepted items, please click here.

Waste sites will only permit entry for large loads up until 3:45 pm on each operating day. Smaller loads may also be denied entry after 3:45 pm due to site capacity and/or traffic volume. This will ensure patrons have ample time to offload their waste before site closure at 4 pm.

Landfills and transfer sites accept cash only. Debit/credit payments are not available.

Mulch Giveaway Program at the South Marysburgh Landfill: Mulch will be available while supplies last between 8 am and 4 pm during regular operations of the landfill.  The program will remain in operation each Saturday while supplies last. Learn more.
