The Planning and Development Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 19.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) with the live stream on the municipality’s YouTube channel. Members of the public who wish to provide comments can do so by contacting clerks@pecounty.on.ca to register.
Statutory public meetings will be held for the following applications:
- A consent and rezoning at 62 McIntyre Road (Ward 4 Ameliasburgh)
- A consent and rezoning at 1763 County Road 19 (Ward 4 Ameliasburgh)
The Planning and Development Committee will consider for decision the following applications:
- A consent and rezoning at 82 Eatonville Road (Ward 4 Ameliasburgh). The purpose of the application is to sever a residential lot containing an existing dwelling that has been rendered surplus as the result of a farm consolidation.
- A consent and rezoning at 209 Tripp Road (Ward 2 Bloomfield/Hallowell). The proposal would see a 12.1-hectare lot addition severed off the subject property to benefit 128 Quaker Road, resulting in a 1.1 hectare retained residential parcel.
- A municipally initiated and County-wide Cultural Heritage Master Plan (CHMP). The purpose of the CHMP is to build on the County’s Heritage Conservation Strategy and Official Plan, which recognize heritage as a core value and strategic priority.
- A municipally initiated and County-wide Official Plan amendment. The purpose of the Official Plan amendment is to permit the delegation of Minor Zoning By-law Amendments (ZBAs) and to establish criteria for determining when a ZBA may be treated as minor.
- A staff recommendation that Council delegate approval authority for Minor Zoning By-law Amendments, Consent applications and Plans of Subdivision/Condominium approvals to the Director of Development Services, or their designate.
The following presentations are scheduled for the meeting:
- Jack Winberg, Rockport Group, and Chris Marchese, Deco Communities, to provide a Base31 housing update.
- Mark McCullloch, Consultant Project Manager, Stantec Consulting Ltd., and Ben Goernert, Senior Project Engineer, Ontario Ministry of Transportation, to provide an update on Highway 62 intersection improvements.
