County of Prince Edward announces official list of certified candidates for 2026 municipal election

The County of Prince Edward has announced the official list of certified candidates for the 2026 municipal election.

Nominations for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election closed at 2 pm on Nomination Day, Friday, August 21, 2026.

Forty-two candidates filed Nomination Papers. In accordance with Section 35 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, to be on this certified list the following persons have met the criteria and filed all necessary papers, endorsement of nominations, declarations and paid the required fees. Catalina Blumenberg, theClerk/Returning Officer, has determined that such persons are qualified, and that their nominations satisfy the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

Eligible voters will receive a voter notification card in the mail in October indicating Internet and assigned voting locations including advance voting details for those who wish to cast their ballot early.

Election Day
Monday, October 26, 10 am – 8 pm

Internet voting
Vote from anywhere, from any device, at any time.
Opens: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 10 am
Closes: Monday, October 26, 2026, 8 pm
