Residents and visitors to Prince Edward County are advised that personnel from the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) will be conducting training in Prince Edward County from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27.
- The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment will conduct infantry training near Ameliasburgh on private property under an official Land Use Agreement.
- Members of the public may notice an increase in military vehicles and see uniformed military personnel with their service weapons.
- There is no risk to public safety during this training event. Only blank ammunition will be used as part of this training exercise. There will be no road closures or traffic disruptions.
- All Canadian Army Reserve members train regularly to maintain and further develop their skills. Military exercises in urban and rural environments leads to greater expertise and prepares military members for Canadian Armed Forces missions around the world.
