The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has completed a detail design and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study for improvements to the Highway 62 and County Road 1 intersection.
MTO’s consultant, Stantec Consulting Ltd., has prepared a design and construction report (DCR) to summarize the refined recommended plan, construction staging, and environmental impacts and protection and mitigation measures.
The DCR is available for a 30-day public comment period. The DCR can be accessed at the project website at hwy62pec1.ca or can be reviewed in person at the Picton library (208 Picton Main Street) and the Bloomfield library (300 Bloomfield Main Street).
Upon completion of the DCR review period, the project will be considered to have met the requirements of the Class EA and will proceed to construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2027 subject to approvals.
