Emergency water service repair on Spring Street (Picton) October 19

October 18, 2026

The Water and Wastewater Department will be conducting emergency watermain repairs on Spring Street between James Avenue and West Mary Street in Picton on Monday, October 19.

  • Repairs will begin at approximately 8 am, with an expected completion time of 5 pm.
  • Spring Street will be reduced to one lane for motor traffic for the duration of repairs. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
  • Heavy equipment will limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Spring Street may experience reduced to no water pressure and coloured water is possible when the water service lines are returned to service. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
