2025 budget deliberations to begin December 2

November 19, 2024

County Council will begin considering the 2025 municipal budget on Monday December 2.

Council will meet at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) on December 2 starting at 7 pm, where Amanda Carter, Director of Finance and IT, will provide an overview of the 2025 proposed budget. Council will also receive any deputations from the public and comments from the audience.

On the following days beginning on December 3, an in-depth discussion will take place between Council and senior staff about the proposed 2025 budget. The rates-supported water and wastewater budgets will be presented first, followed by the tax-supported budgets, which help pay for the day-to-day operations of the municipality, the delivery of services, and infrastructure investments.

Council has set aside the entire week, December 2 – 6, for budget deliberations. That schedule is subject to change. The public is encouraged to follow the County on Facebook and X/Twitter for updates throughout the week.
