Motorists travelling north and south of the Town of Picton are reminded of an alternate route in place during the construction on Picton Main Street north of McFarland Drive.
- The alternate route is intended to assist with traffic delays on Picton Main Street due to the lane reduction north of McFarland Drive.
- Southbound motorists can travel County Road 6 to County Road 5/Johnson Street and back to Picton Main Street. Northbound motorists can travel from Johnson Street/County Road 5 to County Road 6 and back to Picton Main Street.
- The detour provides an option for motorists to avoid traffic delays during construction and is not mandatory to use.
- Signage is currently in place advising motorists of this alternate route.
- Visit the municipal website to learn more about this project.
