Members of the Canadian Army are training from March 22 – 24 in Prince Edward County.
- Local Reservists from The Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment will conduct infantry training near Ameliasburgh on private property under an official Land Use Agreement.
- No weapons or ammunition will be present.
- Members of the public may see Canadian Army members in uniform and an increase in military traffic on local roads and highways.
- This activity is practice for later activities at Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) bases and ranges and allows the unit and personnel to confirm their skills locally before further training at approved facilities.
- It supports year-round readiness and prepares local Army Reserve members to support CAF missions at home and around the world.
- All Canadian Army Reserve members train regularly to maintain and further develop their skills in safe and effective operations, and to test discipline, safety, and effectiveness.
- All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience in these areas during the exercise dates, and members of the public are asked to take extra caution when approaching military vehicles and are thanked in advance for their understanding and co-operation.
