Clerk’s office temporarily relocates to the Wellington Town Hall

March 26, 2026

The Prince Edward County Clerk’s Office will be temporarily relocating from Shire Hall to the Election Headquarters at Wellington Town Hall, located at 246 Main Street, Wellington, beginning Thursday, April 2.

Clerk’s Office staff will continue working out of the Wellington Town Hall location until after the election, returning to Shire Hall in November 2026.

Effective Tuesday, April 7, all Clerk’s Office services will be delivered from the Wellington location, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During this period, the Clerk’s Office will provide the following services only:

  • 2026 Election HQ
  • Document Commissioning
  • FOI Request Enquiries
  • Lottery Licences
  • Liquour Lincences
  • Marriage Licences
  • Burial Permits
  • Civil Ceremonies (Resuming in June 2026 at Shire and Macauley Museum)

All Clerk’s Office services are by appointment only. To book an appointment, please call 613‑476‑2148 ext. 1020.
