Community Plan town hall meeting rescheduled for March 7

February 27, 2023

The town hall for the community plan, originally scheduled for February 27, will now take place on Tuesday, March 7.

Mayor Steve Ferguson has opted to change the meeting date due to the winter weather travel advisory that is in effect for tonight, February 27.

“Out of an abundance of caution, I have asked staff to make alternative arrangements for this important meeting. We want to make sure people who want to participate can do so and not have to worry about being on the roads in bad weather,” Mayor Ferguson says.

  • The meeting will now take place on March 7 from 6-8 pm inside the Highline Hall at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street).
  • The town hall will give the public an opportunity to learn more about the community plan and share their thoughts.
  • The County is beginning to lay the foundation for a community plan that will chart the direction forward over the next decade. You can learn more about the plan and have your say on the County’s website. In addition, surveys will be arriving in mail boxes this week. Residents are invited to fill the survey and mail it back to the County; no postage is required.
  • The focus groups for representatives from community organizations and businesses are still scheduled to go ahead on February 28 and March 1, respectively. Email communications@pecounty.on.ca if you are interested in participating.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca
