Construction of new path through Mill Pond Park to begin September 3

August 28, 2025

The municipality will begin construction of the new path through Mill Pond Park on Wednesday, September 3.

  • The pathway will create new pedestrian access from Mill Street to Mill Pond Park (17 Brick Street) in Bloomfield.
  • The path is an outcome of the community consultation completed as part of the Mill Pond Park Main Street Connection project, funded through the municipal Parkland Reserve Project for Bloomfield / Hallowell.
  • Construction is scheduled to take place between Wednesday, September 3 and  September 20 with work being completed by Terra Vista Landscaping.
  • The tennis courts will remain open during the work, but use of the playground and park area will be limited during this time.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
