The Water and Wastewater Department will be conducting watermain work on County Road 3 between Reddick Street and Ridley Street on December 16 -17.
- Repairs will take place overnight, beginning on Tuesday, December 16 at 9 pm, with an expected completion time of 2 am on Wednesday, December 17.
- County Road 3 between Reddick Street and Ridley Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the construction area for the duration of work. Traffic control will be in place.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on County Road 3 between Reddick Street and Ridley Street, including all customers located within Prince Edward Square, will experience an interruption to service while construction is taking place, followed by intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water for a short time once construction is complete. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
