The Water and Wastewater Department will be performing construction work on Elizabeth Street between Mary Street and Picton Main Street on Thursday, February 19.
- Repairs will begin at approximately 8 am, with an expected completion time of 6 pm.
- Elizabeth Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic. However, further traffic disruptions may be required, including closing this section of Elizabeth Street to local traffic only.
- Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to follow the direction of flaggers on scene or use alternate routes if possible.
- Construction is being completed in the sidewalk area on the west side of the street. The sidewalk will remain closed to pedestrian traffic in the construction area.
- Heavy equipment will limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- There will be no disruptions to water service for the customers in the area. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
