The Water and Wastewater Department is conducting emergency repairs/replacement of a sanitary sewer lateral on Niles Street in Wellington on Tuesday, May 14.
- Work will continue until approximately 5:00 pm on May 14.
- Niles Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic between the entrances to Westwind Crescent. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes if possible.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
