The Water and Wastewater Department will be repairing a water service leak on Ortona Circle in Picton on Friday September 25.
- Work will begin at 9 am on September 25, with an expected completion time of 6 pm the same day.
- Traffic control will be in place. The work area may be reduced to one lane for the duration of work. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents nearby to the construction area may experience reduced to no water pressure and coloured water is possible when the water service lines are returned to service. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
