Construction on West Street (Wellington) March 5-6

March 4, 2024

The Water and Wastewater Department will be making sewer lateral repairs on West Street in Wellington beginning on Tuesday, March 5.

  • Repairs will begin at 7 am on March 5, with an expected completion time of 5 pm on Wednesday, March 6.
  • West Street between Wellington Main Street and Noxon Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic will be permitted. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service; the water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
