- The meeting commenced at 5:30 p.m. in a closed meeting. Out of closed meeting came the Finalization of the Chief Administrative Officer Agreement. Adam Goheen was then named the Chief Administrative Officer for the Corporation of Prince Edward County.

- Mayor Ferguson spoke about March 9th – 15th being the 30th Annual Violence Awareness & Random Acts of Kindness Week Kindness Week.

- Mayor Ferguson, Tim Kraemer, Interim Fire Chief and Pat Howe, Interim Deputy Chief recognized the volunteer firefighter recruits, and congratulated them on their accomplishment.

Report: Bloomfield Main Street Rehabilitation Tender Award
Council awarded the Bloomfield Main Street Rehabilitation contract to Drew Harrison Haulage Ltd. in the amount of $1,447,410.00 plus applicable taxes for construction services.

Report: Award of Tenders – Surface Treatments and Micro Surfacing
Council awarded the Surface Treatment Tender to Miller Paving Limited in the amount of $ 3,599,967.20 plus applicable taxes.
Council also awarded the Micro Surface Treatment Tender to Miller Paving Limited in the amount of $ 330,164.60 plus applicable taxes.

Resolution: Councillor Roberts seeking Council support for sustainable police services funding
Council is asking the Province to help cover extra costs caused by new policing rules and to fix provincial police grants so funding is fair for growing communities. This request will be sent via letter to provincial leaders and municipalities across Ontario to get their support.
Report: Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue Department Update to Council
Council received the department update from the Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue Department.

Recommendation: Two from the Traffic Advisory Committee
Council directed staff to provide a verbal report regarding traffic calming on County Road 14 from Lees Lane to Doxsee Road, Ameliasburgh at a future Traffic Advisory Committee meeting.
Council directed staff to provide a verbal report regarding traffic calming at the intersection of County Road 32 and Shannon Road, Hallowell at a future Traffic Advisory Committee meeting.
Recommendation: One from the Built & Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee
Council approved the Heritage Permit Application for Macaulay Church, 23 Church Street, Picton.

Items for consideration
Report: Ice Allocation Policy Update
Council approved the updated Ice Allocation Policy and directed staff to return to a future meeting to update the Fees & Charges Schedule to include a last-minute ice rate.

Report: 2026 Election Sign By-Law
Council passed an amendment regarding timing of election signs, no election sign shall be placed prior to the close of the nomination period (August 24, 2026).
The By-Law to Regulate Election signs in the Corporation of The County of Prince Edward (Election Sign By-Law) was then approved and is to be brought forward to the March 24, 2026 meeting of Council for enactment, as amended.
