Reports Arising from Closed Meeting

Council renamed the existing Revenue Services Clerk positions to Revenue Services Analyst I. Council also approved the creation of a Revenue Services Analyst II position.

Announcements

Councillor Nieman announced the Grand Parade, a community fundraising walk for Friends of Pinecrest on the morning of Saturday, September 19, 2026 for affordable housing.

Councillor Grosso announced the Ameliasburgh Fair on September 26, 2026.

Report: 2026 Property Tax Write-Offs (as of July 31, 2026)

Council approved tax cancellations, reductions, and refunds through applications submitted under the Municipal Act. The total amount approved is $54,862.44.

Resolution: Mayor Ferguson seeking Council support to Build Ontario Together: HST Reinvestment for Municipal Infrastructure

Council approved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to members of the Provincial Government, Provincial Organizations and all Ontario municipalities for their consideration and support.

Report: Update to Prohibited Local Weeds and Invasive Plants List

Council directed staff to conduct a promotional and education campaign to improve awareness of the impacts of Canada Fleabane, Palmer Amaranth, and Water Hemp on agriculture.

Council directed staff to include Canada Fleabane, Palmer Amaranth, and Water Hemp in the invasive species management program for public property.
