County hosting Public Consultation Centre for Regional Water Supply Servicing Master Plan August 17

August 7, 2023

The County of Prince Edward will hold a Public Consultation Centre (PCC) on Thursday, August 17 for the Regional Water Supply Servicing Master Plan.

The PCC will be held at the Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main Street) from 6 – 8 pm.

The municipality is undertaking the study to identify long-term needs to support growth and ultimate buildout within the urban areas of Picton, Wellington and Rossmore, and the villages of Bloomfield, Ameliasburgh, Peat’s Point, Consecon and Carrying Place. Click here to learn more about the study.

At the PCC, County staff and consultants will present background information including existing condition of facilities and their capacity assessments, as well as long-list of alternatives considered for each water system. The short-listed alternatives for each water system will also be presented.

The PCC will follow an open house style format with information boards. Staff and consultant will address any questions from attendees.

A second PCC will be held this fall in Ameliasburgh. The date and time will be finalized in the coming weeks. At that second PCC, staff and consultants will present the preliminary preferred water supply servicing alternative for each water system. The budget for the preferred strategy will also be presented.

If you have questions about the PCC or the study, please contact Garrett Osborne, Project Manager, at 613.476.2148 extension 2002 or email gosborne@pecounty.on.ca.
