The County of Prince Edward will hold a Public Information Centre (PIC) on Wednesday, June 28 for the two Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) studies.
The municipality is undertaking studies as part of the process to replace the existing Wellington water and wastewater treatment plants.
- New water and wastewater treatment plants are needed to accommodate projected growth and address current capacity limitations.
- The County will build the new treatment plants within the property boundaries of the existing site, as shown by the study area limits. Click here to view the study area limits.
- At the PIC, project team representatives will present the results of the Class EA studies and the preliminary preferred recommendations. The team will also collect public and stakeholder feedback.
- The PIC will take place from 6-8 pm at the Wellington and District Community Centre. The PIC will follow a drop-in format. Project team representatives will answer questions and discuss next steps.
