County to paint Remembrance Day commemorative crosswalks overnight October 13 – 15

The County of Prince Edward is committed to recognizing the service, contributions, and sacrifices of veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. To honour Indigenous Veterans Day (November 8) and Remembrance Day (November 11), commemorative crosswalks will be painted overnight from Tuesday, October 13 to the Thursday, October 15.

Crews will paint the following crosswalks:

-Picton: Ferguson Street by the Cenotaph

-Wellington: Main Street by the Cenotaph

-Consecon: Squires Street and County Road 29

  • Traffic delays may occur while the work is underway.
  • Pedestrians and motorists are asked to use caution when approaching the work sites.
  • On November 12, 2024, Council passed a motion authorizing staff to take the necessary steps to install the Remembrance Day “Lest We Forget” commemorative crosswalks.
