County Transit ending route early due to high winds

January 27, 2025

Jan. 27: County Transit ending route early due to high winds

As a result of the high winds making travel more of a risk, County Transit will be ending its Monday route early.

The fixed-route bus to Belleville will end service after its fourth run at the Picton Metro at approximately 4:34 pm. County Transit will not operate for the fifth run today.

County Transit apologizes for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused.

The County of Prince Edward is advising residents to use caution while on the roads due to high winds this afternoon and this evening.

High winds are creating snow drifts, which are severe in some areas, causing poor visibility to drivers.

The municipality’s roads crew is working diligently to keep roadways clear of snow. Drivers are asked to proceed with caution.

If you have questions, contact the County at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or email info@pecounty.on.ca.

Please note: The County of Prince Edward provides this information as a service to the general public. While we do our best to provide accurate information, construction projects and associated service disruptions are subject to change based on weather, road, traffic, and other uncontrollable conditions.
