Emergency construction on Grove Street (Picton)

July 10, 2023

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct emergency repairs as a result of a sewer main blockage on Grove Street in Picton.

  • Work will take place on Tuesday, July 11 between 7 am and 6 pm.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • Lane restrictions will be in place on Grove Street. Traffic control will be in place to direct motorists through the construction area. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes if possible.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service; the water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
