The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct emergency repairs as a result of a water main break on Wellington Main Street between Belleville Street and Conley Road.
- Emergency repairs will begin on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at approximately 8 am, with an expected completion time of 5 pm the same day.
- Main Street between the intersection of Belleville Street to Conley Road may be reduced to one lane for the duration of repairs. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
- Residents connected to municipal water in this area will experience reduced water pressure on February 10, 2021 overnight until repairs begin.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, while repairs are underway, affected residents may experience water pressure fluctuations, a brief interruption to service, or coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
- If coloured water and air in plumbing is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
