Emergency Watermain repairs on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson Street and McDonald Street April 17

April 17, 2025

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working with the contractors making emergency watermain repairs on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson Street and McDonald Street in Wellington.

  • Repairs will begin today, Thursday, April 17, at approximately 10 am, with an expected completion time of 6 pm.
  • The work will take place within the construction area. Traffic on Wellington Main Street will not be affected beyond the construction area. The detour on Wellington Main Street remains in place. Local traffic will continue to be permitted.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson Street and McDonald Street may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
