Emergency watermain repairs on Wellington Main Street January 16

January 16, 2025

January 16, 2025

The Water and Wastewater Department will be making watermain repairs on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson Street and McDonald Street in Wellington. These repairs are not related to the on-going construction of the Wellington trunk watermain and sanitary sewer.

  • Repairs will begin on Thursday, January 16, at 9 am, with an expected completion time of 6 pm the same day.
  • Traffic on Wellington Main Street will not be affected with the detour in place. Local traffic will be permitted.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson Street and McDonald Street may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
