Fire hydrant repairs on Talbot Street (Picton) January 8

January 7, 2026

The Water and Wastewater Department will be repairing a fire hydrant at the intersection of Talbot Street and Markland Avenue in Picton on Thursday, January 8.

  • Repairs will begin at 9 am on January 8, with an expected completion time of 5 pm.
  • Talbot Street will remain open during construction; however, there may be minor traffic disruptions. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes when possible.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water service or water quality. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
