The County of Prince Edward is partnering with Quinte Transit to offer free transit to all electors on Advanced Voting Day on Saturday, October 17 and on Election Day on Monday, October 26.
The free transit service will bring voters to and from any voting location in Prince Edward County. Voters must book ahead to access a free ride. Voters are encouraged to call 613.392.9640 as soon as possible to book a ride.
Rides are offered at specific times according to each poll location. Click here to view the schedule. Electors can confirm their voting location by visiting the County’s online interactive Ward Map or by checking their Voter Notification Letter.
“Voting is the foundation of local democracy, and no resident should face physical or financial barriers when exercising their right to vote,” says Catalina Blumenberg, Returning Officer and Municipal Clerk. “Offering free, accessible rides ensures that every elector in Prince Edward County has a safe, reliable way to reach their voting location and make their voice heard.”
