Glenora Ferry service disruptions July 20

July 13, 2023

July 13, 2023

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has informed the municipality that the Glenora Ferry will be conducting a mandatory stability test on the vessel on Thursday, July 20. As a result, one ferry / 30-minute service will be in effect that day.

In addition, MTO will end service early on July 20 in order to replace hydraulic lines on the ramp. The last trip will leave Adolphustown at 11:45 pm.

Residents are reminded that the Glenora Ferry offers a two-boat service, seven days a week between the Canada Day long weekend and the Thanksgiving long weekend in October.

When two boats are in operation, the ferry will offer 15-minute service during peak hours following this schedule:

  • 30-minute service — 6 am to 10 am
  • 15-minute service — 10:15 am to 7:30 pm
  • 30-minute service — 7:30 pm to 1:15 am

When on 30-minute service, one ferry departs Glenora on the hour and the half-hour and Adolphustown at a quarter to and a quarter after the hour.

When on 15-minute service, one ferry from each terminal departs every 15 minutes.

Contact the Glenora Ferry Office at 613.476.2641 for any questions about the ferry or schedule.

If you would like to receive more information about this ferry’s services, please email mtoferryinfo@ontario.ca and request to be added to the Glenora Ferry distribution list. You can also follow the Glenora Ferry’s Twitter account for the latest updates.
