H.J. McFarland Memorial Home is taking action in response to confirmed respiratory and gastrointestinal outbreaks.
- Home staff are strongly recommending that visitors wear a mask.
- Visitors are asked to check with a staff member upon visiting the home to determine what extra precautions they must take to help prevent the spread of the infections.
- Everyone entering the home must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. Visitors should follow best practices for hand hygiene to avoid contracting and/or transmitting the infection.
- People with respiratory and/or gastrointestinal symptoms should avoid visiting the home during the outbreak.
- Staff at H.J. McFarland Memorial Home are assessing and modifying activities to reduce the risk of transmitting the infection amongst residents and staff.
- Large group activities are cancelled; however, small group activities will be continued.
