Have your say on County services

August 11, 2026

The County of Prince Edward is seeking public input as it reviews the services it delivers, the level at which they are provided, and how those services are funded.

The municipality wants to understand what services matter most to you, how satisfied you are with current service levels, and where you would support maintaining, increasing, reducing, or changing service levels.

We want to hear from people who live in Prince Edward County, own property here, or have an ongoing role in delivering services, operating a business, institution, or organization in the County.

Your feedback will help inform future decisions about municipal services, service levels, and long-term financial planning. Survey results will be considered by Council along with legislative requirements, risks, and affordability.

Click here to fill out the survey online.

You can also fill out a survey in person at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street). Copies will be available for pick up at Prince Edward County Public Library branches later this week.

As part of Council’s 2026 budget deliberations, Council approved the Chief Administrative Officer’s (CAO) recommendation to undertake a Service Delivery and Organizational Review (SDOR) in 2026. The CAO worked with Municipal Vu to carry out the SDOR in the first half of 2026.

Municipal Vu’s final report found that the municipality is functioning well in many areas — supported by a committed workforce and strong community engagement. However, the municipality is operating under increasing structural, financial, and organizational pressures that are not sustainable over the long term.

After receiving the final report, Council directed the CAO to develop a multi-phased implementation plan and return to Council with regular updates as the plan is rolled out. As part of developing the implementation plan, the municipality is gathering community input on municipal service levels and priorities.
