The mobile household hazardous waste event in Picton this Saturday will also include a bin for electronic waste.
This is a one-time addition to the mobile household hazardous waste drop-off hosted by Quinte Waste Solutions (QWS). Only residents of Prince Edward County can dispose of their electronic waste at this event.
Household hazardous waste and electronic waste can be dropped off free of charge on Saturday, October 16 from 9 am – 2 pm. The event takes place at 75 County Road 1 (Sandy Hook Road).
Household hazardous waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks, rivers, and lakes.
