Hazardous and electronic waste mobile event scheduled for May 11 in Wellington

All residents can dispose of their household hazardous and electronic waste free of charge at a mobile event in Wellington on Saturday, May 11.

 The mobile event, hosted by Quinte Waste Solutions, will be held at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) from 9 am – 2 pm. QWS is using this location this year to avoid congestion and provide better service.

Additional events will be held on the following dates: 

      • Saturday, July 13
      • Saturday, August 10
      • Saturday, October 19
  • Household hazardous and electronic waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks, rivers, and lakes.

  • Motor oil and scrap metal will not be accepted. Motor oil must be dropped at the hazardous waste depot in Belleville. Operating hours are available on the Quinte Waste Solutions website.
  • *Please note, materials will no longer be accepted at 75 County Road 1
