Prince Edward County is refreshing its transit strategy, and the public is invited to provide input.
Join staff of the municipality for an interactive, online workshop on Thursday, July 3 from 7 pm to 9 pm to explore ideas and possibilities for the future of County Transit. The workshop will be held on Microsoft Teams. Please register in advance for the meeting link by clicking here.
This is a chance for the public to help shape a system that works better for everyone who lives, works and travels in Prince Edward County.
During the session, participants will learn about three potential transit scenarios developed by the transit experts at Left Turn Right Turn. These ideas are based on:
- A deep dive into our current transit system
- Feedback already received from nearly 200 residents and local businesses through surveys, focus groups and interviews
- Transit lessons learned in other rural communities like ours.
Feedback received during this session will help guide the next phase of strategy development. This project will result in recommendations for a transit plan that will be presented to Council this fall, with implementation planned for 2026.
If you are unable to join on July 3, please contact Vincent de Tourdonnet, Transit Coordinator, for information on how to get involved (vdetourdonnet@pecounty.on.ca / 343.645.2542). You can also save the date for the next public engagement event scheduled for the evening of August 18, in person in Picton.
