Work to improve three lookouts on the Picton Harbour Trail will begin next week.
The improvements are happening at Queen Elizabeth Park on Hill Street, Picton Marina, and Chimney Point. Visit the County website to see the exact locations.
The enhanced green spaces will include new landscape features such as interlocking brick, plantings, shade structures, and more seating to encourage greater enjoyment of the harbor views.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed by mid-December.
This work is part of the Harbour Trail project. The project is funded in part through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund and is the culmination of years of work by the Picton Harbour Task Team, committees, volunteers, the Community and Economic Development Commission and staff.
Once complete, the trail will be more than 2 km long and be connected by seven green spaces around the harbour. The lookouts are located between Chimney Point to Brick Kiln Point. Visit the County website for more information on the project.
