Intersection of Johnson and Barker streets in Picton to become all-way stop September 3

September 2, 2021

In preparation for the return to school, The County is introducing additional safety features at a busy intersection near Prince Edward Collegiate Institute in Picton this week.

Signage for a new all-way stop will be installed at the intersection of Johnson Street and Barker Street in Picton. The changes will come into effect on Friday September 3.

Drivers travelling on Johnson Street will now be required to stop before the intersection with Barker Street. The municipality is installing new stop signs on Johnson Street and painting new markings on the road. See the map below for reference.

To alert drivers about the new stop signs on Johnson Street, “Stop Ahead” signs will be installed in advance of the intersection.
