Lane restrictions on Wellington Main Street extended

June 6, 2025

Lane restrictions on Wellington Main Street between the treatment plants and Cleminson Street will continue next week.

  • The municipality’s contractor, Clearway Construction, is continuing with restoration work on this section of Wellington Main Street. This work will include shoulders and street cleanup as well as the placement of top soil in the disturbed area.
  • The work will take place between 7 am and 7 pm from Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 13.
  • One lane will remain open at all times, with traffic controlled by flaggers.
  • This section of Wellington Main Street officially reopened to through traffic on Sunday, June 1. Later this summer, a second layer of asphalt will be applied to this section of Wellington Main Street when the temperatures are warm enough to allow the product to set correctly. One lane of Wellington Main Street will remain open at all times during the asphalt installation, with traffic controlled by flaggers.
