Picton, ON – The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC) has elected County of Prince Edward Mayor Steve Ferguson as its Vice-Chair for the 2025 term.

“I am honoured to be selected by my colleagues from across Eastern Ontario to support and advocate for our residents,” Mayor Ferguson says. “Prince Edward County shares some of EOWC’s top priorities such as infrastructure, housing, and health care. I look forward to working with Chair Bonnie Clark as well as our Caucus colleagues and staff to make real progress on them in 2025.”

The EOWC is a non-profit organization advocating for 103 small urban and rural municipalities across Eastern Ontario. The EOWC champions regional municipal priorities and works with the government, businesses, non-profit organizations, Indigenous leaders, the media, and the public to change and solve complex issues.

In 2024, the EOWC released its 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, which was informed by contributions and feedback from member municipalities. The plan will guide the organization’s decision-making and advocacy focus for the next three years.
