Canadian Armed Forces has informed the municipality that civilian workers will be conducting Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operations to inspect power lines within the Canadian Forces Detachment Mountain View airspace.
The RPA operations will be taking place Monday, October 7 until Friday, October 11 between 8 am and 5 pm.
The RPA operations will occur in zones 4 and 6 of the Mountain View airspace. Parts of Prince Edward County are within these zones. Click here to see a map of the Mountain View airspace.
The Canadian Armed Forces reminds the public that civilian drones/Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) must not be flown on or near 8 Wing / CFD Mountain View in accordance with Transport Canada and Department of National Defence safety and security regulations.
