Municipality installing temporary speed humps on Union Road (Ameliasburgh) May 15

May 14, 2025

Temporary speed humps will be installed on Union Road in Ameliasburgh on Thursday, May 15.

The temporary speed humps are intended to calm traffic on the collector street, which has a speed limit of 40 km/h, with 20 km/h signs installed on the “S” curve on the road.

  • Work will take place from 12 pm to 4 pm and Union Road will be closed during this time.
  • The Traffic Advisory Committee accepted the option of installing temporary speed humps, with Council ratifying the decision in September 2023.
  • These speed humps will be seasonally maintained in the summer and removed during the winter for snow removal operations.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
