Municipality installing temporary speed humps on Union Road beginning June 17

May 30, 2024

May 30, 2024

Temporary speed humps will be installed on Union Road between County Road 2 and Highway 62 on Monday, June 17.

  • The temporary speed humps are intended to calm traffic on the collector street, which has a speed limit of 40 km/h, with 20km/h signs installed on the “S” curve on the road.
  • The Traffic Advisory Committee accepted the option of installing temporary speed humps, with Council ratifying the decision in September 2023.
  • These speed humps will be seasonally maintained in the summer and removed during the winter for snow removal operations.
  • The installation will take approximately one day to complete. During this time, the public can expect minor delays as road access will be reduced to single-lane traffic.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
