The County of Prince Edward is combining the new home and sewage system applications.
As of July 1, 2025, applications for a new home in a rural area along with sewage system applications may be completed on the same application, eliminating the need to apply for an additional permit.
Building permit fees will remain applicable to both the new home and sewage system.
For new construction or additions for dwelling units, please submit the following as part of your complete application:
- Drawings
- Site Plan
- HVAC Design
- EEDS (Energy Efficiency Design Summary)
- Septic Design
- Schedule 1 & 2
- Septic Installer Information
Replacement, extension or repairs to existing systems can still be applied for through a separate sewage system permit.
All applications can be made through CloudPermit.
